Fresh features and game modes

Coins

November 2026

Play games, earn coins. Wins, daily challenges, tournaments, and hosting rooms all pay out on the finish screen. Sign up to keep the coins you earn as a guest — you'll see them added to your account when you save your profile.

The Shop

November 2026

A brand-new shop for cosmetics: avatar frames, name colors, winner animations, and shareable card-template designs — plus visual themes for Whot, Ludo, and Sudoku. Streak Freeze protects your daily-challenge streak from one missed day. Everything you buy is yours forever.

Estate Kings — USA

November 2026

The first paid Estate Kings edition. American streets, dollar currency, sleigh-quiet stations swapped for iconic US rail terminals, and USA-flavored Chance and Community Chest cards. Ships alongside the free London and Naija editions, so nothing you already play changes.

Extra bots for busy rooms

November 2026

Your first bot in a room is still free. Additional bots cost 50 coins each — pay once when you add them, no subscription.

Coin history on your profile

November 2026

Every coin you earn or spend gets a row on your profile — with the reason, date, and running balance — so you can see exactly where your coins went.

Estate Kings bank loans

October 2026

Ran out of cash mid-turn? Borrow against your portfolio at a flat interest rate over a fixed term. Miss the deadline and the bank forecloses — cash seized, buildings liquidated at half price, properties transferred. Toggle it and the rate/term in the lobby.

Estate Kings house rules

October 2026

Every Estate Kings house rule now shows up at create AND in the lobby, under a collapsible Advanced section — Double GO Salary, Forced Auctions, No Rent in NICKED, Robin Hood Estate Dividend, Bank Loans, and the auction timer. Pick your rules once at create and they ride through to the lobby.

Troll Run

October 2026

A brand-new word-battle mode with multiple themed worlds. Race the timer, dodge the trolls, and build the longest chain — solo or in a room.

Wordle Room

October 2026

Same-Wordle-different-guesses: everyone in the room plays the same word list, viewers watch the guesses land, and the finish leaderboard ranks by fewest guesses.

Ludo daily puzzle

October 2026

A new daily challenge — finish all four pieces in the fewest possible rolls given a fixed dice sequence. Sits alongside Chess Mate, Word Hunt, Word Search, Sudoku, and the rest.

Chess Mate daily puzzle

October 2026

Solve a mate-in-2 or mate-in-3 every day. Any correct mating line scores; the fastest players climb the daily leaderboard.

Yesterday’s daily answers

October 2026

Every daily puzzle now has a "yesterday’s answers" page so you can see what you missed once the day’s over — Word Hunt’s full word list, Sudoku on the grid, Word Search with paths highlighted, Wordle’s target word, and every other daily. Prev/next arrows browse back through the week.

Continue playing across devices

October 2026

Started a game on your phone and want to keep going on your laptop? The homepage now shows every game you’re in the middle of — hosted or joined — from any device, so you don’t have to retype a code.

Schedule a game

October 2026

Pick a time and open the room in advance. Public scheduled games surface on the browse page under Upcoming so players can RSVP, and you (and everyone who RSVPed) get a push when the room opens.

Notifications preferences

October 2026

One place to decide which notifications reach you: turn-your-turn nudges, scheduled-game T-15 / T-0 reminders, community-post replies, and the daily-challenge streak reminder — quiet hours included. Under Settings → Notifications.

Move hosting between devices

October 2026

If you close the tab you were hosting from, or start a game on your phone and want to run it from your laptop, you can now move the host session over instead of losing it. Web: on any game you host, "Take over hosting here" appears when you visit from a different device.

Mobile info-architecture refresh

October 2026

One settings destination on mobile, a new profile with Trophies / Stats tabs, and a Home order that puts what you were playing at the top. Continue playing shows up on mobile too.

Daily Challenges

August 2026

A new puzzle every day — Crossword, Word Search, Word Scramble, Sudoku, Trivia and Word Hunt. Same puzzle for everyone, one attempt, daily leaderboard. Play free at fateround.com/daily-challenges.

Trophies

August 2026

Every game now has trophies to chase — from your very first win to rare, game-specific feats across Trivia, Chess, Whot, Crazy Eights, Ludo, Monopoly, Mafia, Scrabble, Mahjong, Ayo and more. Hidden ones stay secret until you unlock them.

Profiles, points & levels

August 2026

Your play now builds a profile. Earn trophy points, climb levels, and watch your trophy cabinet grow — there's nothing to sign up for, it starts the moment you finish a game.

Daily streaks

August 2026

Come back and play on consecutive days to build a streak. Your current and longest streaks show right on your profile — miss a day and it resets, so keep it going.

Shareable trophy profiles

August 2026

Claim a username and get a public profile page to show off your cabinet. Share everything you've won with a single link — fateround.com/u/yourname.

Game Alerts

July 2026

Never miss your turn to start. Opt in to browser notifications and get pinged the moment a game kicks off, the lobby reopens for a rematch, or a game wraps up — no login required. Flip the alerts toggle in the room header on or off any time. (On iPhone, add FateRound to your home screen first.)

Scrabble Chess Clock

July 2026

A new way to time Scrabble. Instead of a per-turn or whole-game timer, give everyone their own time bank (3–30 minutes) that only ticks on their turn — just like a chess clock. Run out and you flag out: you can watch, but your seat gets skipped. Highest score when the clocks stop wins. Available in casual games and Scrabble tournaments.

Mafia

July 2026

An immersive multiplayer social deduction game. Uncover the secret Mafia among the Villagers, or eliminate the town before they catch you!

Mahjong

July 2026

A 4-player multiplayer Mahjong table. Draw from the wall, discard, call Chow, Pung, Kong, and Mahjong, and race to complete a legal hand before the wall runs out.

Voice Chat

June 2026

Talk to everyone in real time while you play. Jump into a live voice channel right from the game room — no extra app or setup. Tap Join Voice to hop in, minimize the panel to keep playing while you chat, and hit Disconnect when you're done.

Snake & Ladder

June 2026

The board-game classic, online. 2–6 players roll a single die to race up the 1–100 board — climb the ladders, slide down the snakes, and roll a 6 to go again. First to land exactly on square 100 wins, and an optional per-turn timer keeps everyone moving.

Text Charades

June 2026

A team word race — like Password or Catch Phrase, online. Split into 2–4 teams: each round one team is on the clock while a describer types clues for a secret word (without saying it) and teammates race to type the answer. Every correct guess scores a point and reveals the next word. Most words across all rounds wins.

Chess

June 2026

Play classic chess head-to-head. Full rules with castling, en passant, and promotion, plus a chess.com-style clock — each player gets their own time bank (3, 5, or 10 minutes) that only ticks on their turn. Checkmate, run your opponent out of time, or take the resignation to win.

Word Hunt

June 2026

A Boggle-style word race. Everyone gets the same 4x4 letter grid — drag or tap to connect adjacent letters (diagonals count!) and spell as many words as you can before the timer runs out. Longer words score more.

Sudoku

June 2026

Everyone solves the same 9x9 puzzle together. Race to claim 3x3 blocks before your friends — first correct answer scores, wrong guesses lock you out for a bit.

Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe

June 2026

Tic-Tac-Toe with a twist: nine small boards in one big grid. The cell you play sends your opponent to the matching board, and you win by taking three small boards in a row. Quick, head-to-head, and surprisingly strategic.

I Call On (Name, Animal, Place…)

June 2026

The classic A–Z categories game, online. Someone calls a letter and everyone races to fill Name, Animal, Place, Thing, and Food before time runs out. Unique answers score more than duplicates, and everyone marks the sheets together.

Pick a Number

June 2026

Pick a number from a hidden list — you won't know the question until after you choose. Upload your own prompts or use the built-in pool.

Ludo

June 2026

Classic board game on your phones. Roll the die, race your pieces home, capture opponents, and block with pairs — 2–4 players.

Whot

June 2026

The Nigerian card classic online. Match shape or number, stack Pick 2 and Pick 3, play WHOT — first to empty your hand wins.

Secret Message

June 2026

Send anonymous messages to a private board. Only the link owner sees what comes in — perfect for confessions, feedback, or surprise notes.

Anonymous Messages

May 2026

A live anonymous inbox for your group. Everyone in the room can post and reply without revealing who said what.

Date My Kid

May 2026

One name steps into the spotlight each round. Would you let your son or daughter date or marry them? Yes or no votes, live reveals.

Monopoly

May 2026

Classic Monopoly on your phones. Roll dice, buy properties, pay rent, trade, and bankrupt opponents — 2–6 players, real-time turns.

Yahtzee

May 2026

Roll-and-hold dice scoring with friends. Up to three rolls per turn — fill your scorecard with straights, full houses, and Yahtzees.

Never Have I Ever

May 2026

Confession game with anonymous I have / I haven't votes. Use built-in prompts or upload your own and see how spicy the group really is.

Trivia

April 2026

Speed-based quiz for groups. Pick Tech or General Knowledge, or upload your own questions — fastest correct answers climb the leaderboard.

Two Truths and a Lie

April 2026

Classic icebreaker, online. Everyone submits two truths and a lie, then takes turns in the hot seat while the group guesses the fib.

This or That

April 2026

Quick-fire binary choices — pick between two options and see how the group splits.

Bingo

March 2026

Classic 75-ball bingo for parties. Everyone gets a unique card on their phone — you call numbers, they mark squares, and the first line wins.

Codewords

March 2026

The word-association spy game online. Red vs Blue teams — spymasters give one-word clues, operatives guess words on a 5x5 grid. Avoid the assassin!

Hot Seat

March 2026

One player in the spotlight answers questions while everyone else votes on their response.

Custom game modes

February 2026

Build your own prompts and rules — run a game that fits your group exactly.

Changed

Improvements and fixes

Live games strip clarity

October 2026

"9/6 players" for a game with viewers used to read as impossible. Now the live-games and browse cards split it — "6/6 players · 3 watching" — so you can see who’s playing vs. who’s along for the ride at a glance.

Faster Hosting

July 2026

Starting a game is quicker now. Hosting drops you straight into Host + Play by default — no extra interstitial step — so you can spin up a room and join the action in one tap. You can still switch to host-only whenever you want.

Player lobby lists

June 2026

Waiting lobbies across Ludo, Whot, Yahtzee, Bingo, Trivia, Two Truths, Codewords, and more now show everyone’s names — not just a headcount like “2 players in lobby.”

Late joiners default

June 2026

When creating a game, Late joiners now defaults to Viewers only — late arrivals watch live instead of joining as players unless you change it. Board games like Monopoly and Ludo only offer lobby-only or watch-only options.

View game rules in lobby

June 2026

In the player waiting room, View game rules now appears above the In lobby player list so you can read up before the host starts.

Resume on another device

June 2026

Each player gets a personal resume code in the lobby. Switch phones or browsers without losing your spot in the game.

Spectators & late join

April 2026

Hosts can allow viewers who watch without playing, or let late arrivals join mid-game when the room settings allow it.

Game history

March 2026

Look up past rounds by room code. See who got voted for what after the game ends.

Participant-only voting

February 2026

Hosts can limit votes to named players in the room instead of open spectators.

Room themes

January 2026

Pick a visual theme when creating a game to match the vibe of your session.

Mobile experience

January 2026

Smoother layouts on phones — easier tapping, better card sizing, and faster room joins.
