Ludo on Fate Round follows classic rules: roll two dice and use each die separately — a 6 brings pieces onto the board, doubles (e.g. 6+6) let you play both sixes then roll again, send opponents back to their yard on capture, and form blockades with pairs. First player to finish all four pieces wins.

Game rules & how to play

Objective

  • Move all four of your colored pieces clockwise around the board, up your home column, and into the center home triangle.
  • The first player to finish all four pieces wins. Remaining players continue for runner-up places.

Setup

  • 2–4 players join a room. Each player is assigned a color (red, green, yellow, or blue) with four pieces in their corner base.
  • Turn order is set when the host starts. Optional per-turn timer keeps the game moving.
  • Roll two dice each turn. You use each die as its own move — not the combined total.

Getting pieces into play

  • You need a 6 on a die to move a piece from your home yard onto your start square.
  • Until at least one piece is in play, you cannot use non-6 dice (e.g. on a 6+3 roll, use the 6 first, then the 3).
  • Example: 6+3 lets you bring one piece out on the 6, then move it (or another piece) 3 spaces.
  • Example: 6+6 (doubles) lets you bring out two pieces, or bring one out on the first 6 and move it 6 on the second.

Doubles

  • Rolling doubles (e.g. 4+4 or 6+6) means you use each die separately, then roll again after both are played.
  • Three doubles in a row without finishing your turn ends that turn immediately.

Captures & blockades

  • Landing on a single opponent piece on a normal square sends it back to its home yard circle — they need a 6 to re-enter.
  • ★ Start squares and safe entry squares protect pieces — you can land there but cannot capture.
  • If two of your pieces share a square, that space is blocked. Opponents cannot land on or pass through it.
  • Your own pieces can still land on and pass your blockades.

Home column & winning

  • After completing the main track, pieces enter your colored home column toward the center.
  • You need an exact roll to enter the home triangle — overshooting is not allowed.
  • The first player with all four pieces in the center wins.

Why play on Fate Round

Roll & move

Roll two dice — use each die on its own. 6+3 brings one piece out then moves 3; 6+6 can bring out two pieces or one out then move 6. Doubles earn another roll after both dice are played.

Captures & blockades

Land on an opponent to send them home. Stack two of your pieces to block the square.
