Text Charades
Split into teams, describe the word without saying it, and guess as many as you can before time runs out.
Text Charades on FateRound is a fast, team-based word race — like Password or Catch Phrase, online. Players join with their name and split into 2–4 teams. Each round one team is on the clock: a describer sees a secret word and types clues (without using the word), while teammates race to type the answer. Every correct guess scores a point and reveals the next word. After all the rounds, the team with the most words wins.

Game rules & how to play
Objective
- Split into teams and score points by guessing words. The team with the most words guessed across all rounds wins.
- Each round, one team is on the clock — a describer gives clues for secret words and teammates race to guess them.
Setup
- Players join with their name and pick a team. The host chooses how many teams (2–4) and how many rounds.
- Each team needs at least 2 players — one to describe and at least one to guess.
- The host sets the turn length (e.g. 2 minutes). Built-in words are provided; the host can also add their own.
Taking a turn
- The describer sees a secret word and types clues for it — but can’t use the word itself.
- Teammates type their guesses; the first correct guess scores a point and a new word appears instantly.
- The describer can skip a tough word. Only the team on the clock can score during their turn.
Winning
- When a team’s timer runs out, their words are tallied and the next team takes over.
- The describer role rotates each round so everyone gets a turn to give clues.
- After every team has played all rounds, the highest total wins. A tie is shared.
