Game rules & how to play
Objective
- Score the most points across all rounds by writing unique, valid answers for each category.
- Each category can earn up to 10 points per round (50 max).
Setup
- 3–20 players join with their name. The host sets game length, writing time, and marking time.
- Game length can be 10–60 minutes, or play until all 26 letters are used.
- Letter callers rotate — not one round per player, but as many letters as time allows.
How a letter works
- The letter caller picks A–Z. Everyone fills Name, Animal, Place, Thing, and Food starting with that letter.
- When time runs out, papers pass — you mark the next player’s answers valid or invalid.
- The letter caller reviews everyone’s answers and approves the round before scores are revealed.
- Duplicates are detected automatically: if two or more players wrote the same answer in a category, everyone with that duplicate scores 5 for it.
- Everyone sees all answers, marks, and scores live so marking stays fair.
Scoring
- Empty answer = 0.
- Duplicate answer = 5 (automatic).
- Marked invalid = 0 (e.g. wrong category like “cat” under Name).
- Unique + marked valid = 10 points.
